Two very lucky Enable Ability projects were honoured with the presence of Princesses and Star Wars heroes last weekend!
To promote National Disability Day, Enable Ability were welcomed to fundraise outside their local ASDA (Fratton) and Morrisons (Anchorage Park) stores on Sunday 12th September. During the afternoon, they had the privilege of working alongside a Star Wars Stormtrooper and Princess Leia, and Princesses Anna and Elsa, who greeted the public to take photos for a small donation to the charity- even the security guards wanted in on the action!!
Members from both the Hampshire Teenage Project and Portsmouth Youth Project took part in helping to raise funds, by holding collection buckets, and assisting members of the public with a tombola that was running at each of the stores. They were treated to a delicious ice cream afterwards for all their hard work!
In total, we raised a fantastic £231.04! A great achievement, which has also been added to by Morrisons, Anchorage Park, following their bucket collections at the tills during the week of 30th August.
We thank all the public who donated and made these events a success for our young people; to ASDA and Morrisons for having us at the store; and to the Pompey Super Heroes who gave up their time to come along to help us raise these much needed funds!
Thank you so much!
