Hampshire Youth Project were thrilled to join the Ranger Team at Queen Elizabeth Country Park to learn how to lay a dead hedge. This is a common technique used by the team to use off-cuts from trees to create a natural fence. We also did a tree survey which was reported back to Hampshire County Council so they can assess if any more trees are needed in the park and what kind of trees may be needed. The young people learnt so much in the three hours we were there and we cannot wait for the next session, thank you to everyone involved!
