We would like to say a huge thank you to SEND Butterflies South Coast for raising an incredible £450 for Enable Ability throughout 2025.
SEND Butterflies South Coast is a non-profit, parent-led group run by the wonderful team of Sharlene, Paula, Michaela and Danielle. Together, they provide invaluable support to parents of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), of any age. Their work is rooted in understanding, lived experience and compassion.
The group hosts four coffee mornings each month, alongside a bi-monthly support group, creating safe and welcoming spaces where parents can connect and feel less isolated. They also offer practical guidance with PIP and DLA applications, and support parents in preparing for and attending school meetings- helping families feel more confident and informed when navigating complex systems.
Since forming SEND Butterflies South Coast, the team have chosen a charity each year to co-support, with 50% of funds raised going to SEND Butterflies and 50% to a selected partner charity. In 2025, they kindly chose Enable Ability, as the whole team use our services and understand first-hand how valuable they are to local families.
Between January and December 2025, SEND Butterflies hosted two psychic medium evenings and two jewellery workshops, raising an amazing £900 in total, with £450 generously donated to Enable Ability.
We are incredibly grateful for this support. Not only does the donation make a real difference to the children and young people we work with, but the trust and endorsement from a group who know our services so well means so much to us.
To Sharlene, Paula, Michaela and Danielle- thank you for your dedication to supporting families in our community and for choosing Enable Ability as your charity partner last year. We truly appreciate your kindness, energy and generosity.
