This Playscheme is provided in partnership with childcare services across the city of Portsmouth and offers short breaks for children that require extra support because of diagnosed moderate levels of physical disability, learning difficulty, Autism/Asperger Syndrome, and/or disability-related challenging behaviour.

Enable Ability’s role is to provide specially trained staff members to attend the various childcare services along with the children so that they can participate in the inclusive settings provided.

The various childcare services offered are not always the same each mid-term holiday period so parents/carers should enquire in advance as to current plans and before making bookings they should ensure that the provided settings are appropriate for their child’s needs.

Prices for the dates vary by childcare service so please check in advance before making bookings.

How To Apply:

Children may be referred to Enable Ability by local agencies or can be self-referred by family members or carers.

For all initial referrals a home visit will be required to check eligibility and to create a care plan.
