Hampshire Junior Club is looking for new support workers!

Are you empathetic? Like to work with children? Want a new fun challenge? Then look no further!

Hampshire Junior Club is a social group for 5-12 year olds with mild/moderate disabilities, in South East Hampshire. We meet every weekend, usually on Sundays, to access activities in the community as well as structured sessions on outdoor pursuits, sports, cookery and the arts. We offer a relaxed and supportive environment, where our young people can really flourish and just be themselves.

We require 2 additional support workers to join our team. Duties will include; supporting young people with disabilities to get the most out of activities, supporting their socialisation and self-esteem. A small amount of personal care may also be needed.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and creatively minded person to help develop this service.  Good communication skills are essential along with the ability to interact well with young people. A full driving licence together with use of a car would be advantageous.

  • Hours to be worked flexibly as required, on average 3-4 hours at an activity (occasionally some activities may be longer).
  • Most activities take place on a Sunday – during the day.
  • Pay £7.50-£11 / hour, dependent on experience of applicant.
