Hampshire Junior Club

The Enable Ability Hampshire Junior Club is a social and leisure group for 5 to 12 year olds with mild to moderate physical or learning difficulties in South East Hampshire.

It’s good that she comes out of her shell and gets involved. She just loves the activities and to be with kids of her own age

Hampshire Junior club meets once a week, usually on a Sunday, to access activities in the community and social clubs as well as structured sessions in outdoor pursuits, cookery, sports and the arts. Activities take place throughout the year in the Portsmouth, Havant, and Fareham area. We also do day trips further afield to places such as Marwell Zoo, Winchester Science Museum and Birdworld.If you are interested in getting your young person involved then please get in contact with the Hampshire Junior Club Project Leader to organise a short informal visit. During this visit, they can answer any questions you or your young person may have, write a care plan together and get your young person booked in.Trained staff run Hampshire Junior Club, which means families can be confident in leaving their children with us whilst they can benefit from some much-needed respite.If you are interested in joining our Junior Club sessions as either as a young person or a volunteer please contact our office for more information by calling 023 9267 1874 or sending an email to hampshirejuniorclub@enableability.org.uk

Eligibility

Aged 5 to 12 years old living in South East Hampshire (postcodes PO7 - PO17) with a Hampshire Gateway+ Card

Level of support

For children with mild to moderate, physical or learning disabilities, such as autism or aspergers, in a group setting 

Access

By referral or enquiry. A home visit will be required before attending to assess suitability and to prepare a care plan.

Location

Varies depending on activity schedule which is published on the website and social media monthly.

Cost

The costs of the support staff are borne by the charity from various funding sources.

Additonal fees

Expenses related to the various activities may need to be borne by the parents or carers.
