A few of the Enable Ability team recently met up with Rob Styles, last year’s men’s Captain from Hayling Golf Club, to present him with a signed commemorative frame for his tremendous fundraising efforts throughout 2020-2021.
As difficult as the pandemic made any fundraising event, the local golf club still managed to raise a staggering £12,365.10 for the Men’s Captain’s chosen charity, Enable Ability, through hosting various events when guidelines allowed. These included the Men’s Invitational, a Summer Ball, Captain’s Day, and an auction. Numerous donations were also so very kindly sent from generous members of the club over the year.
Bill John (one of the charity’s Trustees), created a personalised frame which was proudly signed by Enable Ability staff and Trustee’s, and presented to Captain Rob Styles as our way of saying thank you.
This money has gone a long way to help us support the children and adults with disabilities who use our services- in particular our newest service ‘Inter Activ’, which aims to assist adults with disabilities to gain the confidence, skills and experiences to obtain sustainable and meaningful employment.
