Last month, we were extremely fortunate to have built a fantastic new partnership with Spark which allows us to use their incredible community space for our co-production group. Sandie Davis (who is very well-known within the VSCE sector) looked after us extremely well in her new role at Spark. Sandie cooked the pizzas in the first hour of the meeting, whilst our group discussed some important matters on the agenda and most importantly, indulged in the free pizza, crisps and drink at the interval.
The second hour of our two hour meeting, we welcomed our guest speaker Liza Grainger, who leads transitions for adult social care in Portsmouth. On behalf of the group, we would like to thank Liza for sharing her wealth of knowledge and wisdom with the group. The group also shared their own personal experiences around transitions, understandably some transitions more challenging than others and we discussed ways this could be improved for future generations within the sector.
This was just the second co-production meeting Enable Ability has held, we are already making great progress in our meetings and we look forward to what this month’s meeting will bring. We meet again on Tuesday 25th March where everyone is welcome to join us via a free Eventbrite link, these are advertised via a WhatsApp group chat or by email. Remember… free pizza will be available for anyone who joins us, as well as invitations to our monthly social programme of activities at community-based events, restaurants, cafes, bars and activity venues across Portsmouth.
If anyone is interested in joining our task group, please email James Donougher at coproduction@enableability.org.uk
