A Great Night Out at DICE on Albert Road with the Over 25’s Co-production & Social Group

Last Thursday, our Over 25 group enjoyed a brilliant evening out at Dice on Albert Road. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this venue had thought carefully about making their space welcoming and accessible. Wheelchair users are able to enter through the back entrance, as well as inside, we found the venue’s layout to be spacious, with comfy seating. The toilets were generous in size too, adding to the accessibility of the venue.

The atmosphere at Dice struck the perfect balance, lively with people playing games, yet still quiet enough to chat comfortably with the people on our table. The lighting and décor made the space feel bright and inviting, as well as the staff providing great service throughout the evening.

We were impressed with the food, which was tasty and good value thanks to the deals available. Drinks could be kept affordable too, with a night costing as little as £5 if you stick to tap water. The option for separate tabs made things even easier for our group, naming each tab with our names which added a special personal touch from staff.

Of course, Dice’s highlight is its fantastic range of board games, which kept everyone entertained, though the Portsmouth edition of Monopoly dominated the evening. For those who really fall in love with a particular game, there’s even the option to buy and take some of the games home with you.

Convenience is another strength for this venue; it’s located on Albert Road with bus stops nearby, with opening times displayed clearly at the entrance.

All in all, our visit was a huge success. Dice offers a comfortable, affordable and accessible space with great food, plenty of games and an extremely welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back for more gaming action!
